Camping in Norfolk
Last summer we found a campsite just outside Holt called Breck Farm, which is almost exclusively for families. It is a working farm with chickens and pigs to look at, and a choice of fields to pitch up in, depending on your requirements. The toilet and shower facilities are fantastic, and there was a little shop available for essential items. In the mornings, a food van opened, selling bacon rolls and other breakfast items. We were allowed an open fire at this campsite, which was probably the highlight for Amelia...
As well as exploring the farm itself, we ventured into Sheringham for food (only 10 minutes away) and to look at the steam trains and go on the beach. We also went to Overstrand for the day and played in the sea. There are so many things to do in North Norfolk, we could have stayed a lot longer. The campsite was very reasonably priced at just £10 per night for the tent, and they were very relaxed about booking a pitch with no minimum nights and no deposit required. It was a great experience for me as I had absolutely no signal or internet for three days! The highlight for me would have to be the tremendous sunsets you get near the coast. We were very spoiled with them, and Amelia thought they were magical.
